This weekend was our Grand Canyon send off. Coach Doni and Vicky gave us our "goodie bags" filled with helpful information like our trail, schedule, plane tix, etc.., plus a new bandana and TNT shirt to wear on the hike. Afterward we hiked for 4 hours and it had to be, hands down, my favorite hike of the season. Mt. Tam was bursting with wild flowers and lush green foliage. The weather started out pretty dull, but after we started moving it was refreshing. And this time, I actually took a camera of my own. And I am so happy I did.
Next week, its off to the Grand Canyon. I decided to drive down with my parents and Martha with the camper, so its going to be quite and adventure. Stay tuned!
